Most of the members of the Savana family, made up of both Mages and Familiars~

Many years ago, Matthew Savana went on a trip to a planet that is much like Earth's African continent, called Sayari. While there, he helped stop some poachers who were after the exotic green Lions. He managed to save a cub who'd been orphaned and made her his Familiar. She was named Elsa and became his best friend, loyal companion, and eventually his lover.
Eventually, the two married in secret, not sure how people would think of their relationship, and not long after Elsa became pregnant. Fearing the baby would be born a lion cub, she stayed away from the world till it was born. After a painful home birth their son David came out a healthy, normal human. It was only later they learned he could change between lion and human at will. They weren't sure why he had natural shape-shifting abilities, but it didn't matter to them, they loved him no matter what.
All this didn't stop them from have two more children, their daughters Jumbie and Jade. After the youngest daughter Jade was almost discovered changing forms, which she did more frequently than the other two, Matthew and Elsa made a decision.
The five of them left their home world and moved to Mid-Childa, in the capital city Cranagan. They felt a new place was a good idea and since Matthew was born there they had family to rely on. They felt the city was safer, and less risky for the kids to be seen in animal form roaming around.
Since the TSAB main office was in the city however, they told all three children to not change forms in public...but this all changed after David met someone, a young girl who was also very different from the people around her. That someone was Kumi Redelback.
